02/27/07 - Volunteer Pages Finished

During the parent meeting earlier this week, there were many requests for an easy to use volunteer page. We have finished our online volunteer section.

03/01/07 - York Invitational

• Fourth Place Team Finish for Varsity and JV.
• Varsity First Place Finishers were:
  Nikki Weyrauch - 55 M Hurdles,
  Amy Abdnor, Emily Salzman, Becky Anderson, Jenna Hennig - 4 X 400 M Relay.
• JV First Place Finishers:
  Erin Ward - Pole Vault,
  Courtney Hug - 55 M Hurdles,
  Lydia Trebels - High Jump.

03/03/07 - Prospect Invitational

• Both Varsity and JV take First Place Team honors.
• Numberous First Place finishes at both levels - too many to list!
• HUGE Thank you to all parent volunteers. The meet continues to be one of the most well run of the season.

03/07/07 - Downers Grove South Relays

• 6th place finish was had by the 4 X 800 M Relay run by Amy Abdnor, Kasey Krum, Annette White, Claire Hollis.
• Sara Wendel, Jen Nowak, Jenna Hennig, and Becky Anderson ran the 4 X 200 M Relay and finished 14th.
• The 4 X 400 M Relay was run by Jenna Hennig, Claire Hollis, Amy Abdnor and Annette White took 10th place.

03/09/07 - Glenbard North Invitational

• Varisty took 3rd place team honors while JV finished 5th.
• Varsity second place finishers were:
  Sam Garretto - Pole Vault.
  Annette White - 3200 M.
  Claire Hollis - 800 M.
• Erin Ward finished first in the JV Pole Vault.

03/12/07 - Gearing up for Conference

A hard week of practice lies ahead as the JV prepare for thier conference meet on Wednesday, March 14 at Rolling Meadows. Varsity will compete at Wheeling for the conference title on Saturday, March 17.  

03/14/07 - JV Conference at Rolling Meadows 

• Sam Ford - First Place in High Jump.
• Erin Ward - First Place in Pole Vault.
• Melissa Meyers - First Place in 55 M.
• Joanna Stawarz - First Place in 55 M Hurdles.
• Sam Garretto - Second Place in Pole Vault.
• Beata Fiszer - Third Place in 55 M.
• Mae Manaois - Fourth Place in Long Jump.
• Danielle Kern, Beata Fiszer, Lydia Trebels, and Ellie Tixier - Fifth Place in the 4 X 1 Lap Relay.
• Katie Jones - Sixth Place in 800 M.
• Maggie Schoenbeck - Sixth Place in Shot Put.

03/17/2007 - Varsity Conference at Wheeling

• The Team earned Fourth place honors.
• Second Place finishes by Becky Anderson in the High Jump and Emily Salzman in the 400M.
• Third Place finishes by Amy Abdnor, Emily Salzman, Emma Partridge and Annette White in the 4 X 800 M relay. Their time of 9:59.3 qualified them for the Indoor State Meet.
• Third place finish also by Jenna Hennig in the 400 M.
• Fourth Place finishers were:
  Jen Nowak in the Triple Jump,
  Kasey Krum in the 3200 M,
  Claire Hollis in the 800 M,
  Annette White in the 1600 M,
  Chirstie Kollias in the 55 M Hurdles.
• Fifth Place finishers by Emily Gruendel in the Shot Put and Christie Kollias in the Pole Vault.
• Six Place finish by Julie Maloney in the Pole Vault.

03/31/2007 - Indoor State Meet at Illinois Wesleyan

• Claire Hollis, Amy Abdnor, Annette White, and Emily Salzman ran the 4 x 800 M Relay and earned 11th place honors with a time of 9:52.74, thier fastest time of the season.

04/03/2007 - Triangular at Rolling Meadows with Hersey

• Prospect wins the meet!!!
• First Place finishers were:
  Becky Anderson, Amy Abdnor, Emily Salzman, and Claire Hollis in the 4 X 800 M Relay,
  Melissa Geldmeyer in the 100 M,
  Nikki Weyrauch in the 100 M Hurdles and 300 M Hurdles,
  Emily Salzman in the 800 M,
  Jen Nowak in the Triple Jump,
  Brittney Mule' in the 200 M,
  Erin Ward in the Pole Vault.

04/10/2007 - Triangular at Elk Grove with Schamburg

• Prospect wins the meet at both Varsity JV levels.
• Anderson, Nowak, Kollias, Gruendel, Salzman, Weyrauch, Travers, Hollis and Hug were all varsity champions.
• JV frist place winners were Trebels, Schoenbeck, Fiszer, Wochinski, Stawarz, Manaois, Burnton, Kragh, Jones, Janis, Adamiec, Meyers, Johnson, and Travers.

04/13/2007 - Downers Grove North Invitational

• Propsect places 5th out of 16 teams.
• The following girls placed third:
  Jen Nowak in the Triple Jump,
  Emily Salzman, Amy Abdnor, Jeanette Wochinski, and Claire Hollis in the 4 x 800.
• Anderson, Kollias, Gruendel, Weyrauch, Abdnor, Salzman, and Ward were 4th place finishers.
• Hollis, Mule', Hennig, Anderson, Geldmyer, Wendel, Nowak, and Weyrauch were 6th place finishers.
• Kollias and Weyracuh were 7ty place finishers.
• Ward, Salzman, Travers, Nowak, Mule' and Wendel were all 8th place finishers.
• Thank you to Mr. Anderson for being our parent volunteer timer.

04/14/2007 - Maine East Relay Invitational

• Prospect places 3rd out of 8 teams.
• First Place Relays were the following:
  Triple Jump Relay composed of Claire Troutman, Sam Ford, Lydia Trebels, and Mae Manaois,
  Shuttle Hurdle Relay composed of Rachel Heiden, Sam Ford, and Joanna Stawarz.
• Second Place Relays were the following:
  Shot Put relay composed of Emily Gruendel, Hope Rohan, Danielle Bolte, and Wendy Sliwa,
  Pole Vault Relay composed of Julie Maloney, Carolyn Kragh, Juile Pettit, and Lindsay Johnson,

04/17/12007 - Prospect Triangular with Barrington and Buffalo Grove

• Prospect takes 2nd place to a great Barrington team. 
• Some great individual performances which will be listed on the Top 20 Lists soon.

04/19/2007 - This Week...

The team travels to Champaign for an Invitational on Saturday. Propsect Girls Track is competing for the Divisional Championship on Monday at Buffalo Grove. Come out and cheer on the team.

• Prospect wins the 10 team Invitational by 20 points.
• Jen Nowak sets a New School Record with a jump of 35' 0" in the Triple Jump. 
• Individual Champions are:
  Emily Gruendel in the Shop Put,
  Emily Salzman in the 3200 M,
  Molly Spacapan in the 1600 M,
  Lucy Taylor, Annette White, Jenna Hennig, Claire Hollis in the 4 X 800 M Relay,
  Sara Wendel, Jen Nowak, Melissa Geldmyer, Lidsey Travers in the 4 X 100 M Relay,

04/23/2007 - MSL East Division Championship at Buffalo Grove

• Prospect is crowned East Division Champions for the 4th year in a row.
• Individual Champions are:

  Jen Nowak in the Triple Jump,
  Emily Gruendel in the Shot Put,
  Jenna Hennig in the 200 M Dash,
  Annette White in the 3200 M,

  Lucy Taylor, Emily Salzman, Claire Hollis, Kasey Krum in the 4 X 800 M Relay.

04/27/2007 - Conant Cougar Twilight Invitational

• Prospect takes 3rd place out of 12 teams
• Emily Gruendel in the Shot Put and Christie Kollias in the Pole Vault were the Class A Champions.
• Class B Champions were Sam Garretto in the Pole Vault, Danielle Bolte in the High Jump, and Annette White in the 800 M.
• Sam Ford was a Class C Champion in the High Jump.

05/04/2007 - MSL Conference Meet at Fremd

• Prospect takes 2nd place honors to a State Contending Caliber Barrington team. It was a complete team effort.

• Prospect takes 2nd place out of 19 teams and qualified 14 out of 18 events for state.
• State qualifiers are:
  Melissa Geldmyer in the Long Jump with a New School Record jump of 17' 2",
  Annette White was a Sectional Champion in the 1600 M and then a state qualifier in the 3200 M, 
  Emily Salzman in the 800 M, 4 x 400 M Relay and the 4 X 800 M Relay,
  Claire Hollis in the 4 X 400 M Relay and the 4 X 800 M Relay,
  Amy Adbnor in the 4 X 400 M Relay and the 4 X 800 M Relay, 
  Jenna Hennig in the 4 X 200 M Relay and the 4 X 400 M Relay, 
  Emily Grundel in the Shot Put and the Discus,
  Sara Wendel in the 4 X 100 M Relay and the 4 X 200 M Relay,

05/18/2007 - 05/19/2007 - State Meet at Eastern Illinois University  

• State Finalists were:
  Anette White in the 3200 M where she ran a 11:05.23 for a New School Record and a 4th place finish,
  Claire Hollis, Lucy Taylor, Amy Abdnor and Emily Salzman finsihed 6th in the 4 X 800 M relay with a New School Record time of 9:19.59,
  Becky Anderson jumped 5' 3" in the High Jump for a tenth place finish.
• There were many other notable performances resulting in many top 20 list changes.
